I don’t know much about ice dance I have to admit but since I became a Bella & Vanya fan I’ve been seeing more stuff online about it.

On Twitter especially people have been saying how Jeffrey is the golden child of usfs even though he has allegations against him and whatnot and I just saw that he and his partner got chosen for that challenger comp while B&V are alternates and I’m just getting more sad? Because B&V deserve more opportunities and it sucks even more when people you’ve heard bad things about get those opportunities over them. But I guess it’s like that in every sport. Still! I wish things would be fair and good for B&V always.

I've been upset and disappointed over that for a couple days now. I knew right away as I started to watch ice dance in earnest that the sport wasn't fair but this cuts deep especially when we've seen how hard Bella and Vanya have been working. And how much they've improved! And to not be rewarded for that? 😡

I also hope this doesn't break Bella and Vanya's spirit 💜 that they remain strong and confident this season. They got what it takes and once people start to see it they won't be able to deny it.

anyways...i've seen some people treat beard/jane like it's a humorous situation. i've seen people go "lol she followed keeley home haha", i've seen people be like "omg, jane's jealous of ted, that's so funny." like...put on our thinking caps, people. let's think critically here. the amount of people who shift the blame onto beard, who say jane's only toxic as compared to abusive...we saw those texts, we've seen the signs -- toxic isn't the most encapsulating word to use here. she's actively isolating beard from his best friend, she's accusing him of having a "too close" relationship with said best friend, she's wishing him harm when he doesn't text her back, he literally fears her destruction of his personal property...it's abuse. everything we know about jane in regards to how she treats beard is abusive.

ted making a joke about her throwing beard's keys in the river. keeley laughing about being stalked. roy refusing to speak his mind, even though he's never once shied away from it before. rebecca says "she's intense, but she's adorable" in regards to her lurking around their place of business waiting for beard.

it's not funny, it's not a joke, it's abuse.
